- All ingots must be kept dry and clean. Ingots must be pre-heated before adding to molten metal, and do not add in dirty or moist ingots, it may cause the molten metal to splash or explode.
- Do not breathe fumes or dust.
- Wear gloves, overalls, facial protection and/or respiratory protection as appropriate.

- Non-combustible or non-flammable in the solid form.
- Metals dust can be flammable if exposed to heat and flame and can ignite spontaneously in air when dry.
