Among 13 Globally! Two Lee Kee Group Members Approved as LME Listed Tester of Zinc

Lee Kee Group is pleased to announce a significant milestone in the international metals services sector. Lee Kee Group members, Essence Metal (Asia) Co., Ltd. (Essence Metal) and Genesis Alloys (Ningbo) Ltd. (Genesis Alloy), have been officially approved by the London Metal Exchange (LME) as recognized “Listed Testers of Zinc” and have successfully obtained the qualification certificates.

According to LME regulations, producers applying to register an LME zinc brand should select two designated testers for trial. Each tester is required to test a minimum of 50 tonnes of pure zinc from at least four different batches of the producer. Additionally, the testers should coordinate with LME’s Listed Sampler and Assayer (LSA) during the sampling process. This procedure demands a high level of standardization, rigorous procedural compliance, and strong collaborative capabilities among all parties involved.

Currently, only 13 testers of zinc worldwide hold this qualification, distributed across the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Germany, the UK, and the US. Notably, Essence Metal is the sole LME-certified Listed Tester of Zinc in Hong Kong, China.
